Students will be assessed in several ways. First, they will be assessed on their actual project. When they turn in the packets there will be two key areas that they are graded on. This includes the accuracy with which they monitor the stocks they've chosen, including calculating ROI (Return on Investment) of the stocks they sell. They will also be graded on the evaluations that they provide regarding the choices they made (each stock purchase must be accompanied by an explanation of why it was chosen).
As the unit progresses, the students will also have both a quiz and a unit test where they will have to demonstrate an understanding of the material. This will assess multiple levels of thinking, including simple recall of the terms, as well as higher level analysis of a scenario.
